Ultrasonography
Ultrasound machines are used to assist in the diagnosis of various conditions as well as routine application for monitoring reproductive cycles and pregnancy in the broodmare. Ultrasound is a valuable imaging tool for evaluating, diagnosing and monitoring the healing progress. Ultrasound can be used to evaluate the lungs, abdomen, cardiac disease, umbilical infection, anatomical sites with a mass or swelling, pregnancy, as well as joint, tendon and ligament injuries.
