Abraham’s Equine Clinic is equipped with video endoscopy which allows us to visualize anatomical structures in the horse that would otherwise be inaccessible. The endoscope consists of a long, flexible fiber optic camera that is connected to a video monitor. We have several different sizes of endoscopes available for our use depending on the size of the horse and the area of the horse we wish to examine. Areas commonly evaluated are the upper airway, sinuses, stomach, uterus and bladder. Our system also has recording capabilities for still images as well as video, allowing us to save them to the medical record or email them to you or a referring or consulting veterinarian.
