Joint mobilization and musculoskeletal manipulation provide important diagnostic and therapeutic approaches for addressing musculoskeletal issues in veterinary medicine. These techniques are used to assess the quality and quantity of joint range of motion and as a primary means of treatment for musculoskeletal disorders. Spinal manipulation is shown to be effective in reducing pain, and improving flexibility in horses. You might consider these therapy modalities if your horse is experiencing:

These therapies should be provided only by specially trained veterinarians. Abraham’s own Dr. Jeremy Servantez is certified as an Equine Rehabilitation Practitioner (CERP) which integrates these therapeutic modalities and provides specialized training for the identification of which modality is most appropriate in certain circumstances.
