Dr. Ribas grew up in the city of Curitiba, Brazil.

Dr. Ribas spent most of his childhood riding jumping horses and he continues to enjoy riding. In 2009, he graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine from PUC, a catholic university in Curitiba, Paraná, Brazil. Since graduation, he has specialized in equine reproduction. His focus has been on embryo transfer, mare and stallion infertility, frozen semen, mare aspirations for ICSI, foaling and foal care.
