Liz grew up in North Dakota and graduated with a B.S. Degree in Equine from North Dakota State University, where she enjoyed competing on their Western and Hunt IHSA teams. After graduation Liz and her husband, Darren moved to Cedar Rapids. Liz worked for Kirkwood Community College for 13 years where she enjoyed managing the college's Iowa Equestrian Center. Liz enjoys learning and completed her MBA through the University of Iowa in 2023. In her free time, Liz is happiest spending time outdoors with her family, horses and dog.
